St. Augustine is a straight run up US-1 or I-95 from our Palm Coast base, usually somewhere around a half hour depending on where in the city or St. Johns County the job sits. We work up there often enough that we know the pattern before we ever walk a property: this is old ground, close to the water, with a water table that sits high enough year-round that drainage isn't optional, it's structural.

Between the Matanzas and San Sebastian rivers, king tides, and a rainy season that dumps water faster than a lot of older lots were ever graded to handle, St. Augustine floods more often and more predictably than most of our service area. We get calls after every named storm from homeowners whose yards, driveways, or garage slabs took on water that never used to be a problem — usually because the original grading was done decades ago for a drier climate pattern than the one we're in now.
