Yard Drainage & Stormwater
French drains, stormwater pipe, and catch basin systems that get standing water off your property for good, built for Florida's flat ground and high water table.
Drainage & Stormwater in Flagler County
Water Doesn't Move Downhill Here. You Have to Make It.
Palm Coast and most of Flagler County sit nearly flat, with a water table that can be a few feet down or less depending on the season. That combination is why so many yards here hold water long after a storm passes: there's no natural slope to carry it off, and the ground underneath is often already saturated with nowhere for more water to go. We see it constantly on drainage calls, a homeowner's yard turns into a shallow pond every time it rains hard, or the same low corner floods every summer no matter how much sod gets laid down on top of it. Sod and topsoil don't fix a drainage problem; they just hide it until the next storm.
Most of our work here is French drain and under-drain installation: trenching a perforated pipe wrapped in gravel and fabric along the path water actually wants to take, then tying it into an outfall, swale, or catch basin so it has somewhere to go. On some properties that means hand-digging around a pool, septic field, or mature landscaping where equipment can't reach, which is slower but often the only option. On others we're installing full stormwater pipe systems, tying multiple downspouts and grade-level grates into one buried line that discharges well away from the foundation. Either way, the goal is the same: get water moving underground instead of sitting on the surface.
We also handle ongoing stormwater maintenance for HOAs and property managers, cleaning out clogged catch basins, repairing pipe that's settled or separated, and keeping common-area drainage functioning the way it was designed to. A single blocked grate in a community can back up water onto several properties at once, and it's usually cheaper to catch that early than to deal with the flooding complaints later.
Hurricane season is when all of this gets tested. We size and place every system with tropical storm rainfall in mind, not just an average Florida afternoon shower, because that's the standard homeowners here actually need it to hold up to.

Drainage & Stormwater FAQ
My yard floods every time it rains hard. What actually fixes that?
Usually a French drain or under-drain system tied into a proper outfall, sometimes paired with regrading so the surface itself sheds water instead of holding it. We walk the property, find where the water is actually coming from, and design the system around that, not a one-size-fits-all pipe.
Do you install stormwater systems for HOAs, not just single homes?
Yes. We install and maintain stormwater pipe systems and catch basins for HOA common areas and property managers, not just backyards, including tying multiple drains into a shared outfall or retention pond.
How fast can you get someone out during hurricane season?
We keep capacity open through hurricane season because that's when drainage problems show up hardest. Call as soon as you notice standing water and we'll get a crew scheduled as quickly as we can.
